Western Michigan junior WR Corey Davis caught eight passes for 183 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 45-31 win over Middle Tennessee in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.
Davis hauled in an 80-yard touchdown pass just before the end of the first quarter. He did most of the work on that one, catching the ball on a curl just past the sticks before turning up field to break an arm tackle and race for glory. Thursday's bowl marked the fourth time that the 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior's averaged 20 or more yards per catch this season (he averaged 22.9 in the contest). He finishes the 2015 campaign having caught 90 passes for 1,436 yards and 12 touchdowns. An added bonus for Western Michigan, it was reported before the game that Davis would return to school for the 2016 season.
