Webb played one season at Cal as a 2016 senior as a graduate transfer from Texas Tech and was honored as a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award while picking an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection. He also made the cut to the final 15 for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award® and was on watch lists for the Maxwell Award and the Manning Award. He also equaled single-season school marks for most 300-yard passing games (10) and touchdowns responsible for (43) with his 37 in the air plus another six on the ground that also tied for the most ever by a Cal quarterback.
