Saw action in all 13 games during the season ... majority of action came on multiple Irish special teams' units ... younger brother of Zack Martin ... together they comprise one of four sets of brothers on the team ... by end of the season, was primary backup at both tackle positions but also had versatility to play guard.
Surprisingly nimble for as big as he is, McCullers is a space eating nose guard capable of pushing a center and guard straight backwards. He's not going to have the quickness to make a lot of plays laterally, but he makes it tough for defenses to go up the middle. Relatively effective in the passing game because of his good straight ahead push and long arms allow him to clog passing lanes up the middle. Conditioning is a concern.
Explosive athlete who is considered one of the top safeties in the country. One of the top defensive candidates for the Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy given to the nation's top defensive player and the Jim Thorpe Award given to the nation's top defensive back. Displays tremendous range because of his great speed which allows him to cover a lot of ground in the secondary. Expected to see more time playing corner in 2013.
